Firstly, we somehow booked a room in the cheap building which has three floors and no elevator, don't make this mistake, book the ''superior room'' as we paid for the upgrade on all three of our rooms. the ''superior'' room was in the main building, we were put on the 5th floor and a room on the 3rd floor, the receptionist could NOT have been more helpful, she was an absolute star and I thank you for your help. The rooms were very spacious and very clean, our room cleaner was an absolute star, with our grandson aged 22 months visiting our room everyday it was kept spotless. such a wonderful lady. breakfast was quite busy, but still decent enough, not worth the extra, better off going down the beachfront cafes. The hotel is used by a certain group of bachelors that have a steady flow of ''ladies'' touting for business on the hotels ''driveway / approach road'', this I will say, as distasteful as it may seem to some, the bachelors adhered to the hotels strict rules and regulations regarding ''visitors'' and no noise no issues and no problems whilst we were there for 5 nights.

Firstly let me say that there are 4 units at GBS, Unit 1 & 2 are the premium rooms with good WiFi, YouTube & Netflix TV, and usually a nice view of the main pool and sundeck of the main facility (near check-in). The other units 3 & 4 are the basic rooms, the outer buildings. The rooms are good, clean and spacious but have poor WiFi and no YouTube or Netflix, just Thai channels. Yet still a nice balcony with good view of the smaller pool and gardens, or if you're on the upper floors a good view of the area (room 4406 is great if you like to watch the planes!) Overall is a nice modern hotel only 18 minutes away from BKK by courtesy bus, has a large 7-11 store at the end of the street where you can get everything you need for an overnight or few nights stay, a small Thai market with lovely BBQ and street food, nice little area, and helpful check-in staff.

I found the staff to be friendly, helpful and polite, and check in was fast and easy.. The hotel was a bit nicer than I expected given the prices. It is close enough to the airport for a quick transfer but is tucked away from the main road so relatively quiet, You can take a five minute walk to the main road where you can find 7eleven, shops and various places to eat. You can book onto the half hourly taxi van to get from BS to the airport next day and it is free like the pick up service. Despite the limited range, the buffet style breakfast was good, especially for the low asking price. As a vegetarian I was very happy to find fried tofu in vegetables and steamed rice as an option plus some fruits and salad.

The pickup from the airport is very well organised. The driver carried my bags into the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful; and my bags were taken to my room. The rooms are very comfortable; and free coffee and bottles of water are provided. I didn't have food on this occasion, but have before. It's very tasty and reasonably priced. I was running late, in the morning, to get my allocated free minibus run to the airport. Reception called me, saying that the minibus was ready, but they waited for me. That driver actually put my bags on a trolley at the airport. Overall excellent service.

proximity to airport, shuttle service, spacious connecting rooms , quiet. really quiet and properly functioning air con. comfortable beds. at end of the road leading to hotel from main road, fantastic local market, loads of fresh produce , ‘street food ‘ etc. also a 7/11 , bit further along a lotus , so if you need to eat and don’t fancy the restaurant onsite, you can get freshly cooked food and supplies. we used both . restaurant food was fine , but so was everything we got from the market. we didn’t use the pool , but it was being well used by guests.
